"...oral L-arginine supplementation significantly lowers both systolic and diastolic BP."
This was the conclusion of a study published in the American Heart Journal, 2011. This study analyzed 11 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials
involving 387 participants most of whom had normal Blood Pressure.
"Compared with placebo, L-arginine intervention
significantly lowered systolic BP... and diastolic BP...."
"In conclusion, this meta-analysis of randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials provides evidence that
oral L-arginine supplementation significantly lowers both systolic and diastolic BP."
"...Nitric Oxide can prevent and even reverse
heart disease and strokes."

L-arginine and “NO More Heart Disease”
Dr. Ignarro wrote a great manual for your heart called “No More Heart Disease” that details how to boost your body’s production of Nitric Oxide with L-arginine and L-citruline supplements to prevent and even reverse heart disease and strokes.
Your body uses L-arginine to make nitric oxide, which relaxes the blood vessels. This reduces stress on the heart and improves circulation. L-arginine is the body’s major source for nitric oxide synthesis. L-arginine also reduces blood viscosity and many scientific studies have shown that l-arginine aids in reducing blood pressure levels.

Nobel Prize press release :
“We know today that Nitric Oxide acts as a regulator of blood pressure, as a gatekeeper of blood flow to different organs, as a signal molecule in the nervous system and as a weapon against infections.” |
1998 Nobel Prize for Medicine
You probably haven't heard of Nitric Oxide until now even though the 1998 Nobel Prize for Medicine was awarded to three research scientitsts who discovered that the endothelial lining of our arteries produced Nitric Oxide that regulated the health of our whole cardiovascular system.

The Basics of Nitric Oxide
Rainer Boger, M.D.
Nitric oxide keeps arteries wide, so that
oxygen can be easily delivered to all the organs where it is needed.
The conversion of L-arginine to NO makes it a very unique amino acid that is of essential
nutritional importance. Even though Nitric oxide (NO) is one of the smallest molecules in the human body,
but like oxygen (O2), it plays an extraordinarily important role for
maintaining a healthy life.
Dr. Böger is the author of more than 140 original peer-reviewed research papers published in research journals. |
NO is produced from L-arginine in many different cell types throughout the body,
and the site of NO production determines its biological effects:
In the arteries,
NO keeps blood flow high and keeps arteries
smooth and flexible.
In the gut,
NO enhances intestinal function and prevents obstipation.
In the airway system,
NO helps keep air flowing freely to the lungs.
In the brain and nervous system,
NO decreases pain sensation and contributes to better memory
formation.
By enhancing NO production, L-arginine is able
to promote all of these effects.
No wonder that
such a huge diversity of organ functions are positively affected by L-arginine supplementation. Some
people may call it a wonder, but I call it the science behind L-arginine.
Indeed, people with all different kinds of health concerns have reported improvements in their health
status while on regular L-arginine supplementation.
Dr. Böger has dedicated 22 years of academic research in basic science and clinical studies related to L-arginine and its influence on the body’s ability to produce NO. |
None of them can be achieved if L-arginine levels in blood are not successfully elevated
above “normal” for 24/7. Only combinations of L-arginine with L-citrulline have the biological potential
to achieve this goal, and only
ProArgi9+ has been scientifically confirmed to do this.
When using L-arginine as a dietary supplement, there are a few caveats that need to be considered. Restoring Nitric Oxide formation with L-arginine needs to be maintained around the clock. L-arginine, however, has a short residence time in blood; in less than 1 hour, half is already spent. Only when L-arginine is combined with L-citrulline is it possible to provide prolonged elevations of L-arginine in the blood stream.
Furthermore, cardiovascular health is a refined balance in which the endothelial cells interact with oxidative factors, blood platelets and the coagulation system, and transcriptional regulation of cell growth and development. Thus, additional components can interact with L-arginine to promote cardiovascular health on a multifactorial level.
With its unique blend of L-arginine and other supportive ingredients, it is my experience that Synergy’s ProArgi-9+ provides an optimized way to enhance your cardiovascular system compared to other nutritional supplements on the market.
What causes High Blood Pressure?
High Blood pressure is almost always caused by narrowing of your arteries by a plaque or calcium buildup. It’s like putting your thumb over a garden hose. You reduce the hose opening and you get a lot more water pressure.
Your arteries work the same way. Block any artery and the blood pressure goes up behind it. Block it enough and you stop blood flow. That’s a heart attack or stroke.
As we get older we only make 15% of the
Nitric Oxide we made when we were 20 year old.

If you have sufficient Nitric Oxide,
your body will regulate it’s own blood pressure.
But as we grow older, our body loses the ability to make Nitric Oxide and our arteries begin to block up. In fact, by the time we’re 60 years old we are only making 15% of the Nitric Oxide we made when we were 20 and it’s in our 60’s that High Blood pressure and Cardiovascular problems start causing heart attacks and strokes.
